Massage therapy serves as a second career path for me, as my background is in nursing. In 2003, I received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During the first seven years of my nursing career, I had the privilege of caring for oncology patients. In 2010, my career transitioned, and for the following twelve years, I had the honor of caring for patients receiving hospice and palliative care services. I am forever changed by the lives of those patients. They each taught me so much about life, love, and the importance of having no regrets. After much prayer and consideration, my 19-year career shifted yet again.

In May of 2022, I entered the Massage Therapy program at Davidson-Davie Community College, transitioning from full-time nurse to full-time student. I completed the Massage Therapy diploma program and am now a licensed massage therapist. I love the one-on-one, client-centered care that massage therapy allows me to provide! I am so blessed to have loved BOTH of my career choices!  In addition to seeing clients, I am also finishing up second year studies at DDCC. Lord-willing, I will graduate in May of 2024 with an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
